Unable To Register The Lens.

No Getting registered with the message "Product & serial number combination entered by you is either incorrect or not present in our database. Do not panic! Kindly recheck the product 8D number & serial number. If the issue continues kindly proceed without verification. Our team will check the issue within 5 working days and help you with the resolution." Contacted Chat/Phone/Email support and all they do have is a standard reply that their team will get back. It's been a month now and no one from the mediocre sony support team turned up. If Someone stumbled upon the same issue, please help me out with your suggestions.
