Codec for playing recorded video

Hi,
I am using a Alpha 7 IV camera.
My preference is still photography but recently I started to use my camera for video shooting also, however I am encountering problem in playing the video files copied from the camera to my laptop, it is showing the attached error when I am trying to play video files using windows media player. I have attached a screenshot of the error that I am encountering, while paying the MP4 file.
Can anyone suggest any codec which I can use for playing video files ?
